This photo is an example of what can be done for 50th Wedding Anniversary gifts.  With some digital image enhancements it is possible to make some changes that provide digital restoration, and also makes some creative changes.  It shows the bride and groom on their wedding day, and offers the couple a reminder of their special day 50 years earlier.

The process started with some minor photo repairs to remove some discolourations.  The background was then removed so the image could be placed onto a scenic background.  The photo was then converted from black and white to color before being placed on the new background.

When these new photos are completed they can be framed and displayed in a place of prominence.  Rather than being stuck in an album and only viewed occasionally, the new picture can be seen and enjoyed on a daily basis.

One great part about digital technology is the creative freedom it provides.  In the past special attention had to be paid to staging to capture the mood.  Now you can take older photos and be creative in creating new works of art.  By using old photos to create new images you can increase the enjoyment of the pictures and still recapture feeling of the previous event.
