FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

Q. How much do you charge?
A. When you send a photo, if we think the cost will exceed 20 pound then we may give you an estimate prior to sending your sample. This estimate is based purely on the time we think it will take to accomplish your task, If at this stage you do not wish to proceed then no further action need be taken. Once again when you receive your sample you still do not have to pay if it is not what you were expecting.

How do you arrive at your cost?
As mentioned above, the price is based on the time spent working on the photo. We also have to recoup our overheads such as advertising, Search engine optimisation (SEO) and web hosting fees.

Q. How long does it take to turn a Black and white to color?
A. Unfortunately colourising is quite time consuming as there is no quick fix, each section has to be coloured in the same way you would use pencils on a colouring book, except we use a digital pen or mouse. Having said that the average photo will take between one and two hours to complete depending on detail.

Q. How long before I get my photo sample?
A. We can usually return a sample within one or two days depending on the quantity and time involved. If the restoration is going to take a long time then we will let you know prior to commencement.

Q. Can you make a blurry picture sharper?
A. The best thing to do is send us the photo and we will see what we can do, Photos that are completely out of focus with no detail cannot be restored. Our photo enhancement section goes into more detail for you.

Q. I have bit missing from my photo, can this be repaired?
A. Yes. We can normally replace parts using sections of the original photo. In some cases for example if the complete face was missing we will require another photo to copy from.

Q. If I delete or lose my photo can you resend it?
A. All our photos are stored for a period of six months and we will resend free of charge up to that period.

Q. Is your work guaranteed?
A. Yes as the sample we send prior to you paying is your guarantee. Once you have received your sample and decide to pay then there will be no refund, as the photo you will receive after payment will be exactly the same as your sample minus the watermark.

Q. Can you enlarge photos?
A. Yes. But after enlarging we may have to carry out some editing and enhancement to avoid losing too much detail. Providing you scan your photos at a high resolution (300 dpi or more) then your photo should be okay. On very small photos we may recommend ghosting the image, therefore the detail is not that important but the overall effect can look quite natural.
