In this video I have tried to show many different ideas by the use of before and after photos. You may have to pause the video from time to time to read the text alongside.

This video was put together to show how it is possible to turn an old photo from black and white to color. And then transform it into something quite beautiful and personalised.  Providing the original photo is scanned at a decent enough resolution (normally 300DPI or more) then there is no reason why the photo can’t be blown up large enough to hang over your fireplace or somewhere else where it can take pride and place. A personalised photo gift of this nature will speak volumes.

This video tries to illustrate that even using a photo where the person is trying to look good looking but failed (it’s okay he’s a friend of mine) it is possible with the use of photo touch up and image enhancement to transform it into a photo suitable for a portfolio or facebook etc.
The second part of the video shows how with a bit of imagination most photos can be transformed into something creative for example an album cover to promote a demo CD. When handing in a demo it is always a good idea to have a striking cover so that it has a chance of getting noticed.
With today’s technology photo restoration has come on leaps and bounds making it possible to turn a plane photo into something quite eye-catching (pardon the pun).

Have you ever been out on a night and taken lots of photos only to find out that you have a few good shots of yourself and a few good snaps of your partner, but no good shots of the two of you together.  Or maybe there was only the two of you there so you have several shots of each other but none of you together.  Well don’t worry in this video you will see how it is possible to place you side by side and give you both a good makeover at the same time. Once again photo touch up and add and remove are the main two types of photo restoration used to create this effect.

Unfortunately not everyone can afford a top class photographer for their wedding but nowadays you have an option.  Of course it is nice to have a professional to take your photos, but as I try to illustrate in this  video it is also possible to turn quite normal wedding photos into something that you would be proud to frame to remember that special day.  This sort of personalized photo gift would make an ideal first anniversary gift (paper = photo). Using add and remove techniques along with digital restoration it is also possible to superimpose the happy couple over a scenic view of their honeymoon as shown in this video.

This video shows one of my most challenging projects. The photo was that large it was sent to me as four separate scans and as you can see from the video it was severely water damaged, faded and quite disfigured. This type of work used on damaged photos is usually referred to as miracle photo restoration. Although the video is over in a couple of mins, I can assure you it took me quite a few hours to complete. I was a little concerned that I hadn’t captured or had lost the true image of the client’s mother, but she was more than pleased with the end result. The beauty of digital restoration is that you can always go back and alter it if you are not happy, so don’t be afraid to ask for alterations if you are not satisfied with the samples we send.
